Our Yoga Sanctuary in the South
Hams, Devon

About Wellness Warriors Yoga Studio

We are an intimate yoga studio nestled between Dartmoor and Plymouth, in the heart of the South Hams. We are strong believers in the
power of community and supporting your overall wellness. We have a wide variety of yoga classes and yoga styles to allow you to pick
and choose what you need each day. Whether you need to slow down after a long day at work, stretch out after a solid gym session, or get playful and let go of adult pressures and stress, we have what you are looking for.

We don’t care if you can or can’t touch your toes - everyone is welcome regardless of age or ability. Our yoga classes are there to challenge you as much or as little as you like, with no expectations or judgement. We allow you space to find what feels good for you. Your body and mind will quickly feel the benefits of creating time each week to practise yoga, and will thank you for it. You will notice speedier recoveries, improved quality of sleep and better concentration. Whatever your next adventure is that you may be training towards; climbing your next mountain, surfing for longer, or running a marathon - yoga can help!

We are lucky enough to have a talented collection of yoga teachers that will inspire, support and teach you in a way that is clear and
understandable. They all have their wonderfully unique set of skills and are some of the most kind and caring people that genuinely care
about you and want to see you feel your best.

Our strength lies in unity, and within this nurturing community, you’ll find the support and encouragement to become truly unstoppable.
Together, we forge a path towards not only physical strength, but also mental resilience and inner peace. Come, join us, and let’s embark on this transformative journey together.

Our Wheel of Wellness

When thinking about overall health and wellbeing we keep it simple but effective and use this wheel to align ourselves to what we are lacking in our wellbeing and how we can best support ourselves. We recommend using this as a guide to what classes you are wanting to attend each week!

Connection

Taking time to reflect and reconnect back to yourself with our Yin Yoga classes and Restorative Yoga classes.  We understand the importance of connection, not only to yourself through having time to wind down with meditations and restorative practises, but also with community and nature.  That is why we have free community meet ups so you can get to know the people next to you on your mat and meet like-minded people and become part of this wonderful community.  We also have classes down on Bigbury Beach and SUP yoga in the ocean so you can feel a greater connection to nature and the world around you, alongside the added benefits of practising outside like vitamin D, fresh air and building proprioception.

Sleep

When you don’t get enough sleep, it knocks you for six and you might benefit greater from one of our nourishing practises that would support a tired body and mind.  These will also allow you to de-stress from your day, calm your nervous system and wind down ready for a great night’s sleep.  Offering you no distractions, time away from your phone and television and the opportunity to truly rest. Sign up to Yin, Restorative Yoga or Yin Yang Flow classes.

Physical

We all know how important it is to move our bodies. We have evolved to move and when we get too stagnant our body start to ache and stiffen up.  The best thing you can do is move in a way that feels good to you, a way that you enjoy and something that you look forward to each day rather than see as another thing on your to-do list.  We have a vast collection of styles that will inspire you to get on your mat, so whether you have been stuck at a desk all day, spending hours driving or at a hands-on physical job, any of our yoga practises will allow you to feel that relief that your body is asking for. Our classes will mobilize the entire body to get rid of any aches or niggles, get your endorphins flowing and feeling lighter than air.

Emotional

Sometimes as adults, life can get a bit serious and we forget the benefits of play and laughter: it helps to relieve stress, improves brain function and keeps you feeling young and energised. We have classes like Acro Yoga, Handstand drills, Arm Balance drills, and Rocket Yoga to really encourage your sense of play and challenge yourself to get upside down and find some funky shapes in a supported light-hearted environment.

Hi, I'm Becky!

I am passionate about creating a space where you feel at home, a place you can come to meet with new and old friends and move your body in a way that best supports you.  My ethos is that we are all so innately different so why should each pose look the same on all of us.

Three fun facts about me:

1. I love to surf with friends, I spend most of my time wiping out or whooping and cheering but nothing is more soul nourishing than an evening on the waves with my gals.

2. I have a Citroen Dispatch that I live in for 6 months of the year, I am not hard enough for the full time van life.

3. I used to work as cabin crew for Thompson and fly out of Exeter airport.

What's my guilty pleasure:

I am slightly obsessed with Bob's Burgers, Rick and Morty and Adventure Time... I love animated programs and movies, they make me so happy! I am just a big kid at heart.
