We are so glad you asked! Gua Sha is a relaxing two-thousand-year-old Chinese practice, using a smooth tool for light facial massage. The Gua Sha tool is usually made from stone – jade and rose quartz are the favourites. One of the great things about this practice is that you can do it yourself easily at home.
Gua Sha is known to promote circulation and improve lymphatic drainage. It can reduce puffiness and promote collagen production, boosting skin health and making you glow! Once you know how it is a simple and invigorating technique that can easily be added to your skin care routine.
Funny you should say this – we have a Gua Sha Event Coming Soon! We are running a special workshop with Georgie Glow to offer a gorgeous Yin Yoga session with a scalp massage. This will be accompanied by a skin and hair ritual, with breathwork and pressure points, using essential oils to enhance the relaxing vibes. Use of oils in aromatherapy does wonders for a fully immersive session. Smells can really transport us to another place and time, and enhance the relaxation offered by the Gua Sha massage and Yin Yoga.
There will be golden milk on arrival and you will go home with your own Gua Sha stone, and some of Georgie’s beautiful balance oil. You will also leave with new knowledge of how to enhance your skin and hair routine, and lots of ways to incorporate the session’s knowledge into your everyday life.
It really does! The event will include breath-work including fab techniques to keep in your back pocket for those stressful moments, anxious days, or a deeper appreciation of a beautiful moment. Are you breathing? (Yes? Good!) Breathwork will open up a whole world that right at your fingertips, teaching you ways to slow your mind and body and be really present.
It’s going to be something really special ~ we can’t wait to see you at Yin Glow!
