Three fun facts about me:

  1. I love to surf. My favorite spot is Saunton Sands and when I get a weekend off we are straight up in the van, having a pizza from Stoked.  Sleeping and listening to the ocean and enjoying our pre-surf coffee from the Heartbreak Hotel in Braunton before heading in for a surf.
  2. My dream holiday destination is Hawaii, and when I was younger I loved the movie Lilo and Stitch so much so that I got ‘Ohanna’ tattooed on my foot.  Ohanna means family, and family means no one gets left behind or forgotten.
  3. I’ve had a multitude of jobs ranging from, Barista, Cabin Crew, Travel agent and even had a line in Shameless! But nothing has ever stuck, I went from place to place trying to settle and I can honestly say that I love what I do.

Three fun facts about me:

  1. I am a bit of an adrenaline junkie. I love fast rollercoasters and have ridden most in the UK and a few in the USA. I have taken part in a number of track days driving Ferraris and Lamborghinis and even managed to spin a single seated race car off the track into the gravel trap, oops.
  2. I have a weakness for Ice Cream, any flavour at any time. I have been know to take a pot out of the freezer and sit and eat it all in one go.
  3. I don’t have any pets but don’t tell my neighbour’s cat that. Bob (that’s the cat) thinks he lives with me and I quite often come in and find him curled up on the sofa or sat outside waiting for me to come home.

I first started yoga back in 2013 with a broken leg and a way to keep my body moving in recovery- to be honest I didn’t take to it at first!
But, here I am, 11 years on, with over 800hrs in yoga teacher trainings and a daily practice- even if it is 15 minutes in between my baby nappy changes- it still counts!

Yoga for me is not about what I can do on the mat- but how I choose to continue my practice off it into each and every day moment; and- that doesn’t mean to be perfect, but to wholeheartedly be involved in life, despite the contradictions.

Three fun facts about me:

  • I moved to Devon January 2022 after living outside of the UK for 12 years. I spent 9 years living in Mallorca where I founded a health food cafe and community, Cocos Deli.
  • I have a baby girl, Aura, born December 2023. One of the greatest blessings of my life.
  • I love astrology! I am a Gemini sun, with my moon in Aries and my rising in Sagittarius.

Hannah

My yoga journey began in the early 90s when I went to a hatha yoga class with a friend. I felt calm and empowered in my body – a new feeling for me at that time! I’ve since explored lots of yoga styles, eventually training in Ashtanga Vinyasa and Yin as well as Arogya Yoga Therapy and Yoga for Women’s Health, which I’m currently studying.

I really believe in yoga’s far-reaching therapeutic effects. It offers us the tools to calm, balance, heal and strengthen the body and mind and being able to share that with others in a creative, safe and inclusive environment is beyond rewarding!

Three fun facts about me:

  • In another life I was a print and broadcast journalist, once upon a time reading the news to the good people of the nation – but not before I had to dance in a giant egg suit as an intern!
  • I LOVE to travel! I caught the bug early after moving around a lot as a child and have since spent much of my life travelling, working and living in all sorts of amazing, and at times hair-raising, places! Now, I’m finally putting down roots in the beautiful South Hams…
  • One of my passions is acting and I’ve trodden the boards on many a stage – I love playing a baddie! Outside my yoga teaching, I jointly run a drama group bringing acting skills to young people.
