Take a slow breath in, filling your lungs to the very top, and a slow breath out, feeling your body slowly soften.
One more time, breathe in, feel your body rise like a wave, and breathe out, allowing the breath and wave to soften into white horses.
I hope you’re feeling the glow of summer across your skin, the sand between your toes, and embracing the gentle hustle and bustle of families enjoying the beautiful coastline we are so lucky to call home.
This month I have been thinking about lessons from the ocean. She is never still. Waves rise and fall, and there is this constant flow. Perhaps our lives are a little like the ocean too. Some days feel calm and glassy, while other days you’re struggling to stay afloat in the white water after a surprise huge set. But just like the ocean, there is always another wave coming.
So next time you find yourself at the beach this August, sink your bum into the sand and sit and watch the waves. Notice their rise and fall, their endless ebb and flow. What might the ocean be reminding you about your own journey?
Lots of love, Becky and the team from Wellness Warriors Yoga studio.
