Becky Hickman

Yoga Teacher and Studio Owner

Since completing her 200-hours Becky has delved into all things yoga and wellbeing. She has gone on her own healing journey the past year, and knows first hand the importance of community, friendships and taking time for yourself.

In Becky’s classes you will be greeted with open arms, welcomed like she’s known you forever and guided through the postures in a fun, creative way.

Three fun facts about me:

  1. I love to surf. My favorite spot is Saunton Sands and when I get a weekend off we are straight up in the van, having a pizza from Stoked.  Sleeping and listening to the ocean and enjoying our pre-surf coffee from the Heartbreak Hotel in Braunton before heading in for a surf.
  2. My dream holiday destination is Hawaii, and when I was younger I loved the movie Lilo and Stitch so much so that I got ‘Ohanna’ tattooed on my foot.  Ohanna means family, and family means no one gets left behind or forgotten.
  3. I’ve had a multitude of jobs ranging from, Barista, Cabin Crew, Travel agent and even had a line in Shameless! But nothing has ever stuck, I went from place to place trying to settle and I can honestly say that I love what I do.

Three fun facts about me:

  • I am a bit of an adrenaline junkie. I love fast rollercoasters and have ridden most in the UK and a few in the USA. I have taken part in a number of track days driving Ferraris and Lamborghinis and even managed to spin a single seated race car off the track into the gravel trap, oops.

  • I don’t have any pets but don’t tell my neighbour’s cat that. Bob (that’s the cat) thinks he lives with me and I quite often come in and find him curled up on the sofa or sat outside waiting for me to come home.

Paul

I completed my 200 Hr yoga teacher training with Becky and Chloe in March 2025.
I’m keen to give back what yoga has given to me – peace, fitness and connection
(with myself, with others and with the deeper world around us).
I love quotes and if I were to choose two quotes that would summarise my yoga
classes it would be:

“People rarely succeed unless they have fun in what they are doing” ~ Dale Carnegie

“Poetry and Hums aren’t things which you get, they’re things which get you. And all you can do is go where they can find you” ~ Winnie the Pooh

Three fun facts about me:

important part of my studio yoga classes.

the presence, the fun, the joy – especially with my surf/ yoga family. This short
film summarises surfing for me –

Coco

I first started yoga back in 2013 with a broken leg and a way to keep my body moving in recovery- to be honest I didn’t take to it at first!
But, here I am, 11 years on, with over 800hrs in yoga teacher trainings and a daily practice- even if it is 15 minutes in between my baby nappy changes- it still counts!

Yoga for me is not about what I can do on the mat- but how I choose to continue my practice off it into each and every day moment; and- that doesn’t mean to be perfect, but to wholeheartedly be involved in life, despite the contradictions.

Three fun facts about me:

  • I moved to Devon January 2022 after living outside of the UK for 12 years. I spent 9 years living in Mallorca where I founded a health food cafe and community, Cocos Deli.
  • I have a baby girl, Aura, born December 2023. One of the greatest blessings of my life.
  • I love astrology! I am a Gemini sun, with my moon in Aries and my rising in Sagittarius.
